PLEASE HELP, 60 POINTS !!!! Read the following prompt and type your response in the space provided. Khianna is preparing an INFORMATIONAL presentation for her science class. Her presentation discusses three different theories about what killed the dinosaurs 65 million years ago. The first theory is that an asteroid hit the earth, the second theory is climate change, and the third theory is that dinosaurs evolved into birds. In an essay of THREE FULL PARAGRAPHS, respond to the following prompt: 1. Explain what TYPES of media would be most effective for Khianna to use in her presentation and why. 2.         The types of media for her presentation would be graphs and photos. The graphs would help her show climate change. Graphs could also help her show the evolution of birds. Photos could be used to compare birds to dinosaurs. Photos could also be used to show photos of the earth. The types of media Khianna should use in her presentation should be graphs, photos, and or a video.

There aren't really any types of media that shouldn't be used. Although sounds, and animations would not be effective to her presentation. As long as her media backs up her theories she should be fine. Animations and sounds would not work as as media pieces in her presentation because they wouldn't effect anything. These two media pieces also would not help persuade people.

Two examples of media pieces that would be affective would be a graph/chart and a video. The graph or chart could show climate change throughout history. The video could be about dinosaur and bird evolution. Two examples that would not be effective would be audio and animations. These examples would not be effective because they wouldn't help inform or entertain the audience.

Use these tools to help you write a descriptive paragraph of three to five sentences for the following situation. Use proper spelling and grammar. Situation - Reading a book Answer: It was a dark and dreary day outside and there was nothing to do because the rain would not stop falling. I wandered around the house aimlessly until I found myself in front of the book shelf. I grabbed the first book I saw, and thought, "At least this'll give me something to do. It was a book about a girl who lived in India, I have never been to India, so it was very interesting to read. Hours went by, and soon my mother called to me and asked, "Claire, the sun is out, would you like to go out and play?" I then replied, "No, I would much rather sit here and read my book." Is there anything I need to change?
Solution 1

Here is an edited version of your initial answer (it was still great):

It was a murky and dreary day outside with nothing to do since the rain wouldn’t stop pouring down. Wandering around the monotonous house aimlessly, I suddenly found myself in front of the antique book shelf. I snatched at the first book I glimpsed at and thought, “At least this’ll give me something to do.” The book discussed the life of a girl who lived in India which I’ve never even stepped a foot in. Therefore, it was very exciting and adventurous to read. Hours went by and soon my mother shrieked, “Claire, the sun it out, would you like to go out and play?” I then responded, “No, I would much rather take the weight off my feet and read my book.”

Let me know if you need anything else.

Question
Identify the two words that eye rhyme in this excerpt from "The Brigs of Ayr" by Robert Burns. The simple Bard, rough at the rustic plough, Learning his tuneful trade from ev'ry bough; The chanting linnet, or the mellow thrush, Hailing the setting sun, sweet, in the green thorn bush; The soaring lark, the perching red-breast shrill, Or deep-ton'd plovers grey, wild-whistling o'er the hill Shall he-nurst in the peasant's lowly shed, To hardy independence bravely bred, By early poverty to hardship steel'd. PLOUGH BOUGH THRUSH BUSH SHRILL HILL BED BRED
Solution 1

Thrush, Bush

Eye rhyme is when two words look like they should rhyme because they are spelled the same. However, the words do not actually rhyme because they are not pronounced the same. Thrush and bush both have the same ush spelling at the end. Thrush is pronounced with a short u /uh/ sound. Whereas bush has a short /oo/ sound.

Bough and Plough both have the "ow" sound. Shrill and hill both have the short /i/ sound. Shed and bred both have the short /e/ sound.

Solution 2

Thrush, Bush;....................

Question
I am French and I have to write a letter putting the advantages and disadvantages of new technologies
Solution 1
New technologies have contributed to the development of communication and transport, which led to globalization. The internet has revolutionized our era, creating a constant flux of information as well as of money. Knowledge is now much more accessible. The world has a become a network. The technological revolution has facilitated our lives in various fields such as in industry or in housework. However, together with all of these benefifts, technology has changed who we are and the way we socialize with each other. This might represent the end of certain traditions and ways of life. In addition, one must take into account the way technology is being used in illegal spheres. A good example of this is the way terrorist groups around the world, most specificly ISIS, have begun to use social media to recruit new militants.
Question
Which third candidate's infomercial campaign pulled enough voters away from George H.W. Bush to give Bill Clinton the victory? A. Ralph Nader B. William Howard Taft C. Al Gore D. H. Ross Perot
Solution 1

Answer:

The correct answer is D. The third candidate that pulled enough voters away from George H.W. Bush to give Bill Clinton the victory was H. Ross Perot.

Explanation:

Henry Ross Perot presented himself as a candidate for the presidential election of 1992 with the slogan "United We Stand, America" and a right-wing populist program. He used plain language to appeal to the "pure" people in the center of the country who faced the "liberal" (corrupt) elite on the East Coast of the United States who had "appropriated" the federal government and advocated "anti-American policies". Thus he promised the (true) American people that he would "clean the granary" of Washington so that it would stop undermining the values of the "people" and granting "special privileges" to the minorities, which supposedly did not deserve them. He obtained 18.9% of the votes, dividing the conservative vote that would have belonged to George H.W. Bush, who, with that percentage, would have won the elections.

Solution 2
Ross Perot's infomercial campaign pulled enough voters away from George H.W. Bush to give Bill Clinton the victory.

Hope this helped.

Based on this detail, Piggy can be described as whiny.

His whininess is just one of the reasons that the boys neither respect nor listen to Piggy. HE complains the boys are acting like children, which, of course, they are. His whininess contributes to Piggy being an outsider, along with his glasses, weight, and asthma.
